Find a hyperbaric facility

A safer starting point.
Closer to home.

Explore facilities approved for the Arizona Hyperbaric Society directory, understand our minimum criteria, and ask us to review a center you are considering.

Our minimum listing criteria

Equipment. Training.
Medical oversight.

Facilities approved for this directory meet AHS's minimum listing criteria. They are not necessarily members of Arizona Hyperbaric Society. Membership and listing approval are separate.

Patient safety comes first. We do not recommend facilities that use chambers that fail to meet our equipment criteria.

01

FDA-cleared chambers
and ASME PVHO-1

Facilities use FDA-cleared hyperbaric chambers that meet ASME PVHO-1, the Safety Standard for Pressure Vessels for Human Occupancy. Device clearance and engineering compliance are distinct requirements.

About ASME PVHO-1 ↗
02

Accredited hyperbaric
staff training

Staff have completed accredited hyperbaric training appropriate to their roles, including chamber operations, patient monitoring, safety procedures, and emergency response.

03

Direct medical
oversight

Qualified, licensed medical staff provide direct oversight of patient evaluation, treatment prescriptions, and clinical care.

Listing approval is not accreditation.

Arizona Hyperbaric Society is not an accrediting body for these facilities. Inclusion means a facility meets our minimum directory criteria; it does not confer AHS accreditation, guarantee a treatment outcome, or mean every service offered is appropriate for every person. Confirm current credentials and discuss your treatment with a licensed medical provider.

Considering a center that is not listed?

Ask us to
take a closer look.

Not sure whether a hyperbaric center meets appropriate safety standards? Our team is happy to help vet a location against AHS's minimum criteria so you can make a more informed choice.

Send the facility name, city, public website, and your questions. We can help review chamber information, accredited staff training, and direct medical oversight, and identify what needs further confirmation.

A review is educational guidance, not accreditation, a guarantee of safety, or medical clearance. A facility's absence from this directory does not by itself mean it is unsafe.

Keep your request general.

Please do not send medical records, diagnoses, or sensitive health information. For personal treatment advice, speak with your treating clinician.

Common questions.

Are all listed facilities society members?

No. Approval for the AHS directory is based on the minimum equipment, training, and medical oversight criteria above. Membership is separate and is not implied by a listing.

Does AHS accredit these facilities?

No. AHS does not accredit hyperbaric facilities. Accreditation or certification by UHMS, NHSA, or another organization is separate from our directory review and should be confirmed with that organization.

What if a facility is not on this list?

Use the facility review form above. Our team can help assess the information available against our listing criteria. Not being listed does not automatically indicate unsafe care.

Can the society recommend my treatment plan?

The society provides education and facility information. A licensed treating clinician should review your medical history, discuss benefits and risks, and decide whether a particular treatment is appropriate.
